Al Shamsi stressed the importance of the award, an instrument used for understanding various modern security matters and generating solutions to challenges.
The award consists of innovative ideas in security that will be published and benefited from later on. The award’s main purpose is to support the notion of creativity and innovation to achieve excellence in police performance, according to Al Othmani.
He pointed out that the areas of the award include several levels, including the institutional level, specialising in drug control mechanisms, data management, Virtual education, cybersecurity, and preparing future leaders.
The second level is limited to the individual work of college students and employees in the force, specialising in criminal investigations.
The third level is meant for partnership. The applicant must be a UAE citizen. A non-citizen can apply for the award if he/she partners with a citizen. This level specialises in strategic management and quality and excellence in security work.
