Sharjah24: The Blitz Chess Championship, organized by Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, was concluded in cooperation with the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club and under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council.

The competition included 100 players, both male and female, from the following organizations: Khorfakkan Club, Al Thiqa Clubs for the Disabled, Al-Dhaid Club, Al-Bataeh Club, Al-Hamriyah Club, Mleiha Club, and the Sharjah Ladies Chess & Cultural Club. The event aimed at fostering a competitive spirit among the players and discovered new talents in the game of chess.

The winners were announced as following : In first place in the tournament was player Sajad Dar from Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, in second place was player Abdullah Rashid Al-Awadhi from Mleiha Club, while in third place was player Salem Sultan Al-Ketbi from Al-Dhaid Club.

For his part, Ahmed Salem Hamad Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, affirmed that the success of the tournament was the result of cooperation between Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled and the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, wishing for continued cooperation among the country’s clubs to urge youth to take part in all fields and create a new generation.
