Sharjah24: Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University (AQU), recognised and celebrated the achievements of the top-ranking students from the College of Communication. These students secured first place in the documentary films category at the Arab and African Media Creativity Competition held in Cairo. The acknowledgment occurred at his office, located in the university's headquarters in Sharjah.
The winning film, titled "Sustainability: A Glimpse of Our Future," explored the role of communication in fostering sustainable environments within the Emirate of Sharjah.
During a meeting with the successful graduates, Dr. Al-Khalaf stressed the importance of graduate projects evolving into substantial endeavours that can make a significant impact in the job market. He encouraged the students to leverage the extensive resources available at the College of Communication, including radio and television studios.
The competition was organised by the Media and Digital Transformation Foundation in Cairo, involving the participation of 98 universities, colleges, and educational institutions from the Arab world and the African continent. The total number of projects submitted for the competition reached 496.
