Al Qasimia University's vibrant summer programme delights students

Sharjah 24: As the summer season began, an exceptional summer programme that encompassed a diverse array of events and activities unfolded for the resident students. What made these events stand out, operating under the banner of "Our Summer is Joyful," was the enthusiastic participation of ambitious female students who actively engaged in them.
Several female students from Al Qasimia University who took part in the summer programme shared their positive experiences and involvement in a range of events and programmes offered during this distinctive initiative. These activities spanned from volunteer programmes aimed at community service and the promotion of a volunteering culture among students to artistic and cultural events that contributed to honing their skills and talents. The impact of the summer programme was clearly visible in its ability to enhance a spirit of collaboration and social engagement among female students while motivating them to pursue their studies with vigour and success.

Discussing the summer programme for this year, Kenyawee Mastrool, a student from Thailand studying at the College of Communication, shed light on various facets that set the "Our Summer is Joyful" camp apart. She underscored its inclusivity and diversity, as the events and activities encompassed a wide range of social, cultural, sports, psychological, physical, and recreational aspects. 

Nour Mohammed Qasim Sbayi, a student from Syria enrolled in the College of Economics and Management, provided further elaboration on this year's summer programme. She emphasised that it was marked by high energy and liveliness, playing a role in uncovering their diverse talents and enabling them to invest their time in endeavors that were beneficial for personal growth.

The activities featured various sports such as volleyball and basketball, enlightening and educational lectures addressing crucial topics such as drug abuse prevention. On the recreational side, there were excursions to heritage sites, visits to museums and cultural institutions, as well as workshops where they acquired skills in crafting incense, perfumes, baskets, and pottery. These activities positively influenced students’ enthusiasm for learning, making them more diligent and leading to improvements in their academic achievements.
