Dr. Aref Al-Nourani wins the Kuwait Award for Disease Control

Sharjah24: Dr. Arif Al Nouriani, Director of Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, has been granted the Kuwait Award for the Control of Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Diabetes (in the Eastern Mediterranean Region) for 2023.
Dr. Nouriani received the award from Dr Ahmed Al-Owdi, Kuwait's Minister of Health, in appreciation of his devotion and continued efforts to tackle chronic illnesses, with an emphasis on prevention and early detection. Dr Al Nouriani is also acknowledged for bringing Sharjah's Al Qassimi Hospital to advanced levels of healthcare and medical research.

Dr .Nouriani expressed his pride in the award, stating that it reflects the UAE Ministry of Health and the UAE Health Services Corporation's efforts to achieve sustainable development in national competencies and the capabilities of all medical and nursing staff in the Corporation's various healthcare facilities. He also emphasised the need to continue to strive towards increasing the quality of healthcare services and successfully battling illnesses.

Dr. Al Nouriani commended the government of Kuwait for its dedication to advancing the battle against heart disease and diabetes through the Kuwait Award for the Control of Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Diabetes, one of the Middle East's most distinguished health prizes.

He further stated that this sort of award encourages individuals and organisations to join the worldwide effort to tackle chronic illnesses and safeguard community health.

Dr. Al Nouriani is a prominent physician and healthcare executive in the United Arab Emirates who has made important contributions to the field of advanced healthcare. He has overseen several complicated and unusual surgical treatments in the field of cardiovascular illnesses, which is one of today's most pressing health issues.
