SPEA evaluates works for Sharjah Award

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) announced the closing date to consider the applications for the 29th session, on September 24, 2023; and the start of the initial screening process for candidates nominated for the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, according to their compliance with the general nomination conditions, for each award category.
The 29th session received an outstanding turnout in terms of the number of participants, as Ms. Alia Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, indicated that this turnout is positive in spreading the culture of excellence in the educational field, which is sought by the award since its establishment. Ms. Alia Ibrahim Al Hosani added that the diversity of the award categories provides an opportunity for all segments of the educational field to participate, to build a culture of institutional, individual, and societal excellence.

Organising the award, SPEA explained that it is constantly working to develop the award’s categories and criteria to serve the educational field, targeting three main categories: distinguished individuals category, which includes “distinguished teacher,” “distinguished educational leader in the senior leadership and middle leadership branches,” and “distinguished educational leader”; “Outstanding Student,” in addition to “Outstanding Special Category Student,” “Outstanding Supportive Jobs,” and “Outstanding Parent.”

The second main category includes distinguished institutions: distinguished educational institutions with two branches, “distinguished school and distinguished nurseries”. The third main category includes: “distinguished work teams”, “Joint Work Teams and Distinguished Parents Council” categories.

Al Hosani praised the role of the arbitration committees, noting that arbitration has an important role in spreading the culture of excellence, whereas the dedication and accuracy of arbitrators in evaluating the files according to the standards required for each category, has helped many categories to develop their work from one session to the next.

Sharjah Private Education Authority called on all parties in the educational field to invest energies to create creativity and excellence in different fields, and to exert more efforts to achieve the desired goals and objectives, wishing everyone success and excellence in the positive competition to achieve the desired goals and endeavours.
