Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has set aside more than 5 million dirhams to cover the educational expenses of 845 students who are either studying or affiliated with the Foundation in Sharjah, in the central and the eastern region.
This initiative aims to support the education of orphaned students as part of the sustainable academic project called "Allama bil Qalam."
The project takes care of orphaned students associated with the Foundation by working closely with their guardians and schools to assess their educational needs. It plays a role in alleviating the financial burden on students from underprivileged families by covering their tuition fees, whether they are enrolled in schools or universities, thus ensuring their uninterrupted educational journey.
Within the "Allama bil Qalam " project, a range of academic support programmes is offered. These include assistance with university education, provision of educational resources, and the delivery of educational enhancement classes to improve their academic performance. The Foundation also recognises and honours outstanding students, in addition to providing specialised programmes tailored to both gifted students and those facing learning difficulties.
The Director-General of SSEF Mona Suwaidi, emphasised the Foundation's commitment to meeting the educational needs of orphans. She highlighted the Foundation's dedication to these students from the inception of their educational journey until they complete their university studies, ensuring they receive the maximum support without facing economic crises or obstacles hindering their education.
