Sharjah24: Almost half a million dirhams from individuals and various entities in the country have been allocated by the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) since 2022 to date in favour of the "Sidra of Wishes," which adopts the fulfilment of the wishes of all orphans who are members of the Foundation; the total number of wishes granted since the launch of the project in 2022 has reached 3,191.
According to the Foundation's Director General, Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, "The "Sidra of Wishes" project was launched in 2016 to translate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who highlighted the need to take care of the orphans, identifying their needs, building bridges of communication with them, enhancing feelings of solidarity between members of society and the orphan group, as well as raising awareness and motivating the community to participate in and influence such humanitarian projects.
The Foundation is dedicated to continuing its humanitarian work so that its noble message of achieving sustainable empowerment for orphans and their families in the various aspects of empowerment provided can be effectively communicated and the orphans and their families can make the transition from the stage of receiving, which preserved their dignity and humanity, to the stage of self-reliance and confidently setting out into a better future.
