Sharjah 24: Sharjah Cooperative Society, in partnership with the Emirates Health Services Foundation, launched a free seasonal influenza vaccination programme for its employees. Sharjah Cooperative's dedication to staff safety and sickness prevention is shown in this effort.
The initial phase of the vaccination programme began with employees at the main office, and staff at branches and labour accommodations will be vaccinated in the coming days.
Seasonal influenza vaccination is one of the vaccines administered annually, particularly during the winter when flu cases rise. It protects against up to 97% of the three most common types of influenza and has a shelf life of 6 to 12 months.
Hilal Al-Muharram, Director of Human Resources, and Mr Faisal Khaled Al-Nabouda, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, along with the medical team in charge of the vaccine, expressed their gratitude to employees for the great service they received throughout the campaign.
Seasonal influenza vaccine is accessible to citizens and residents at numerous primary healthcare facilities. It is advised for children aged 6 months and above, pregnant women, those with heart illness, diabetes, renal difficulties, respiratory disorders, and those with weakened immune systems.
