Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University hosted a gathering to warmly receive new students entering for the academic year 2023-2024. The new students hail from a diverse array of backgrounds, representing over 120 nationalities, and they were graciously welcomed into the university's five faculties.
The university's overarching objective is to furnish its students with an extraordinary educational journey, empowering them to reach their academic and professional aspirations.
Professor Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, delivered an opening address to extend a warm welcome to the newcomers. He commended them for being selected from a vast pool of applicants and underscored the university's standing as a preeminent academic institution in the fields of higher education and scientific research. He emphasised that the university operates in accordance with the principles and teachings of Islam while maintaining an open and inclusive approach to the wider world. This approach aligns with the vision of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who generously supports the university's mission to create an enticing and exceptional educational environment serving students from diverse corners of the globe.
The event also featured an exhibition showcasing the creative works of the students.
