Sharjah24: The "Tawaaq" camel posted the fastest time in the Al-Dhaid challenges at the Sharjah Diwan Badge Cup Races, which wrapped up on September 17th.
The third week of the competition comprised 15 rounds of camel races over a distance of 4 kilometres, with "4-year-old" camels from different tribes.
There was a large turnout of camel owners and breeders from all around the country and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for the races.
Mr Matar Ali bin Huwaidin Al-Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, emphasised the importance of these events as a chance for all camel owners and breeders to compete in camel racing.
