Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Camel Racecourse saw, on Saturday, the conclusions of the competitions for the badge of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, for purebred Arab camel races, organised and followed up by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club. The closing race included 10 4-kilometres races for the 3-year old camels, for the Bakkar and Jaadan categories.
His Excellency Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, extended his thanks to Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, for his support of heritage sports, especially camel racing, through his Highness's badge, which achieved several gains for the owners and encouraged them to preserve the heritage of the ancestors.

Al Ketbi confirmed that the competitions for the badge of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan this year saw an increasing turnout and recorded good numbers in Al Dhaid Camel Racecourse, in which camel owners competed to participate in these age groups.

The badge of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed was launched on August 5 and continued for 4 consecutive weeks.
