Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Ladies Chess and Cultural Club achieved second place at the level of specialised clubs, at the conclusion of the Sharjah Summer Sports activities, “Our Holiday is Different,” held during from July 17 to August 11, with the participation of 17 Sharjah sports and specialised clubs, for the age group between 7-12 years and 13- 17 years old.
The Sharjah Ladies Chess and Cultural Club won the award for the best summer camp presented by a specialised club, among Sharjah clubs, as the club presented a large number of chess, cultural and religious activities and a number of creative events and workshops.

Her Excellency Maitha Issa Al Dhabahi, Secretary General of the Sharjah Ladies Chess and Cultural Club, expressed her happiness at achieving one of the first places in “Our Holiday is Different” and obtaining second place for the specialised clubs.

Her Excellency Maitha Issa Al Dhabahi said that the honouring and obtaining second place represents a great motivation for the club’s management, headed by Najla Al Shamsi and members of the Board of Directors to continue to work to preserve the gains it achieves in such events, which in turn motivates the club staff to exert more effort to win first place, which represents the club goal in all events.

She continued by saying that the club's strategy is moving in several directions, including sports, cultural, and community activities and events, which have a major role in linking the club to society through partnerships with a number of entities, authorities, and suburban councils, and making cooperation agreements in order to spread the game at the level of community groups.
