Sharjah24: The Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah (EPAA) is preparing to participate in the 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), due to take place from 2nd to 8th September, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The EPAA will participate in the event by introducing Sharjah Safari and promoting its position as largest safari of its kind outside Africa, and a leading tourist, recreational, scientific and research destination.
Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah said: "Aligned with the EPAA's agenda, our active participation in various significant state-level events and activities remains imperative. Among these, the (ADIHEX) holds a distinct significance due to the myriad quality opportunities it offers to its attendees. We perceive our involvement in this exhibition as a pivotal chance to showcase the most notable accomplishments of the Emirate of Sharjah in the realm of the environment, particularly the advancement of Sharjah Safari, in alignment with the visionary directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. These endeavours underscore our commitment to bolstering the presence of Sharjah, which possesses immense environmental potential.”

Hana Saif Al Suwaidi highlighted that the Authority's engagement in the exhibition aims to emphasise the importance and necessity of communication and interaction with visitors to the exhibition, and to introduce them to the largest safari in the world outside the African continent. In conjunction with the EPAA's multifaceted endeavours in conserving and safeguarding the environment and biodiversity, it also assumes an educational role. This is accomplished through an array of activities, events, and programmes designed to enhance community awareness about the environment.

Sharjah Safari offers visitors a unique and integrated experience to discover African wildlife. The Safari spans 12 different environments that inspire visitors to discover African terrain, animals, and birds. 50,000 animals and over 120 species of animals comprise African wildlife. Visitors are able to view and engage with endangered species, who are taken care of at the Safari. Sharjah Safari has also planted more than 100,000 African trees, in its quest to preserve the environment and to act as attractions for families, and visitors, making for a charming cultural and environmental tourist experience.
