Sharjah 24: Within the framework of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) keenness to empower members health, the SSEF cooperated with Al Jaber Optical to provide eye examination and free medical glasses to 102 beneficiaries.
This includes 72 beneficiaries from Sharjah and the Central Region, and 30 beneficiaries from the Eastern Region, in an initiative aiming to support health and to actively contribute to support orphans families.

Nawal Al Hamdi, Director of the Social Welfare Department stated that SSEF is always keen to enhance joint cooperation with all members of society and entities, including the government and private sectors, to achieve the directions and aspirations of government care and providing a supportive environment.

She added that cooperating with Al Jaber Optical to implement free examinations, comes as a humanitarian gesture supporting the SSEF employees; and providing them with the necessary medical examinations and the necessary assistance that positively reflects on their general health.

Ahmed Abdullah Jaber Balshalat, Executive Director of Al Jaber Optical stated that the centre ambition goes beyond providing exceptional world-class service; rather, striving to positively contribute to community service through different campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the requirements of vision health, whereas reading, writing, and using a computer are among the daily tasks that strain eyesight.

He added that the campaign plays a pivotal role in helping orphaned children to pay attention to the health of vision and provides them with medical glasses to overcome reading difficulties.

Individuals and institutions cooperation in supporting SSEF programmes constitutes tangible evidence of community solidarity, and it plays an important role in achieving positive change among its members, as the compatibility of visions and goals between the SSEF and different parties help in empowering and caring for orphans, which can contribute in the sustainable development processes, and offer them and their families a decent life.
