Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) organised one-on-one coaching sessions for mothers and a practical workshop involving 36 widows associated with the foundation. Dr. Khuloud Al Tunaiji, an expert in positive energy and organisational development, led these sessions and the workshop as part of the "Rawaa" programme.
This programme aims to offer psychological support, proper guidance, and a means of expression for those caring for orphans.
These sessions built upon previous psychological workshops focused on self-improvement, achieving inner and outer peace, and enhancing mothers' personal qualities. The goal was to help them organise their thoughts and discover the best strategies for reaching their life goals.
Additionally, a related workshop titled "Handmade Crafts" was conducted to channel mothers' energies into meaningful work, fostering better adjustment to their circumstances. This initiative encourages them to organise their thoughts, distance themselves from negativity, and empowers them to set goals and express themselves positively. This contributes to achieving mental and emotional balance, boosting self-assurance, and renewing their energies in a constructive manner.
Maryam Mall Allah, the head of the Psychological Services Department at the foundation, remarked: "Continuing our well-designed and targeted plans for the mothers of orphans, the foundation is consistently implementing workshops and psychological sessions within the (Rawaa) programme. This is aimed at fostering self-reconciliation, enabling mothers to express themselves more effectively, and preparing them to overcome the psychological and mental challenges they encounter."
Dr. Khuloud Al Tunaiji elaborated: "We conducted workshops for mothers, during which we discovered their skills and provided counselling and coaching sessions tailored to each individual. The objective was to gain a close understanding of their living and family situations, and to help them adapt these circumstances to create suitable sources of income. We encouraged them to utilise the available tools to take that important first step forward."
