SSEF Psychological empowerment programmes aim to ensure the sound mental health of orphans, and help them overcome crises and negative consequences that may be caused by the loss of a parent.

The Foundation offers several psychological programmes that aim to help orphans overcome the trauma of losing a parent, such as “Takhata” programme, which focuses on paying attention to mental health and protecting children from the negative effects that may occur as a result of loss, and building a balanced personality capable of dealing with new situations and managing them with specialised educational and social methods.

A number panel discussions and practical workshops are also organised for newly-affiliated mothers of orphans within the “Rawaa” programme, with the aim of properly containing and venting the orphan educators, providing them with psychological support, training them to adapt to the new life, and providing them with skills that raise their self-confidence.

SSEF did not overlook the importance of building the social personality of orphans, so it was keen to enhance and develop their social skills, and to achieve better integration with society.

The social empowerment programmes implemented by the Foundation play an important role in developing the personal and social aspects of orphans, contributing to creating a supportive environment for them, and enhancing their positive participation.

As part of the series of recent projects the youth project "Sanad Albeat" (Home Support), was launched to create leadership skills and balanced personality building qualified individuals to take responsible role at home.

SSEF provided a great opportunity through career empowerment programmes, for orphans to achieve financial independence and ensure a stable source of income, by improving their behavioural capabilities in the career path, and contributing to putting their professional fingerprints in practical workshops, based on the Foundation's belief in the importance of developing the creative and practical side in line with preparing them to instill innovative professional skills towards financial independence, such as training and career development programmes.
