Sharjah 24: The Mleiha Club organised an exceptional and important reading workshop, within the framework of its summer activities, inviting a group of members, to read a number of books of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The invitation coincided with the club's keenness to encourage members to read providing an important national knowledge and culture on the homeland and people.
The workshop focused on the efforts of Mleiha Club Summer, within the framework of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) programmes, under the slogan “Our Holiday is Different”, to instill the value of reading and knowledge in future generations, to preserve the Arabic language and the civilisational and cultural heritage.
Members read, in the club’s library, a selection of books of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which are an addition to the Emirati, Arab and international library, providing an intellectual content rich in narration, history, and thought.
Through reading, members learned from the efforts of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, how to seek knowledge, and the love of reading.
Mohammed Sultan al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club, stressed the importance of the reading workshop, attended by club members and their keenness to read.
