As part of the ongoing summer forum, sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council under the theme "Our Vacation is Different," a collaborative effort with the Islamic Affairs Department in Sharjah resulted in a lecture titled "Respecting Parents." Sheikh Yasser Abu Ammar delivered the lecture, highlighting the significance of obeying parents and the rewards it brings both in this life and the afterlife.
The lecture also emphasised the importance of making the most of the summer break by engaging in constructive activities, such as sports, reading, and learning new skills.
Additionally, the lecturer underscored the value of showing kindness and respect to parents, supported by references to Quranic verses that emphasise the virtue of being dutiful to parents.
The event concluded with Mahir Al Khayyal Al Taneiji, the General Supervisor of Summer Activities, expressing gratitude to the Islamic Affairs Department for their valuable cooperation in providing diverse and beneficial programmes that instill knowledge, values, virtues, and a spirit of tolerance among the participants at Al Dhaid Summer Club.
