Sharjah 24: His Excellency Ahmed Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, revealed that about 120 children participated in the activities of the Khorfakkan Summer Camp, which was launched on the Khorfakkan Beach, in cooperation with the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
In cooperation with the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club launched the activities of the Khorfakkan Summer Camp, which the club is organising for the second year in a row, as part of its summer programme in various regions and cities of the Emirate of Sharjah.
His Excellency said in statements to “Sharjah 24’ that the camp, which attracted about 120 children, includes many land and sea sports events and activities.
His Excellency added that the camp, which will continue until the end of next August, includes competitions in swimming, rowing, diving, and windsurfing. In addition to football and beach volleyball, His Excellency pointed out that participation in the camp is free for children from 8 to 14 years old.
His Excellency stressed that the summer camp, which is expected to be organised in the city of Dibba Al Hisn from July 17 to August 4, aims to invest children's time in learning new sports and practicing useful activities during the summer vacation, in addition to the programme's contribution to discovering new talents in various sports.
