Sharjah24: Sharjah’s Theatrical Association is geared up for a fruitful year packed with theatrical activities. This includes workshops, forums, theatre programs, and cultural and social events. The announcement was made during the general assembly meeting of the Association on June 17, 2023. The meeting was attended by the previous board of the association and a number of association members. These members renewed their trust in the board and unanimously approved a new election cycle.
The newly formed board of the Theatrical Association consists of Mr. Ismail Abdullah, artist Ahmed Al Jasmi, Dr. Habib Ghuloom, Mr. Walid Al Zaabi, and artist Faisal Ali. Two additional members, artist Saeed Salem and artist Abdullah Rashed, have joined the new board.

Mr. Ismail Abdullah stated, "As a board, we are dedicated to understanding the local theatrical landscape. Our initiatives are based on this understanding. In addition to relaunching the theater season this year, we are making preparations for a new edition of the Emirates Festival for Children's Theater. In the upcoming election cycle, we have devised plans to support and revitalise the local theatre scene. We aim to revive previous initiatives that were paused due to the pandemic, such as the Theater Association's award for outstanding theatre groups and the regular publication of the theatrical magazine 'Kawalis'."

The attendees expressed their heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his invaluable support and generous contributions. His contributions have played a pivotal role in the growth of the UAE's theatrical scene. They also celebrated the achievements of the community's young talents, who have earned respect, recognition, and numerous awards in various platforms.
