SAVW enhances gov. innov. through “Opportunity Maker”

Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work stressed the Award's dedication to support institutions that adopt various volunteer opportunities.

Al Balushi noted that during the recent 20th edition three winners were honoured with the Best Volunteer Opportunities Makers Award from government entities, with the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department winning the first place, followed by the Sharjah Book Authority in the 2nd place., and the Sharjah Awqaf Department, securing the third place.

For his part, Manea’ Saeed Al Darmaki, Head of the Human Resources Department and Head of the Volunteer Team at the Districts and Villages Affairs Department has expressed pleasure with the Department’s prestigious achievement, highlighting the Department’s role in ensuring the volunteer works in its activities, especially Dawahi Festival.

Badr Saab, Head of Corporate Communications at the Sharjah Book Authority has expressed pride in receiving this honourable recognition.

His Excellency Talib Al Marri, Director General of the Awqaf Department, explained that this honour reflects Sharjah’s great interest in supporting the volunteer work system, promoting the motivation of several entities, institutions and individuals.
