Sharjah24: For five years in a row, the Sharjah men's handball team has advanced to the championship game of the President's Cup Handball. They got there after winning the semi-final match against Al Ain, 31–28. Sharjah led 18-14 at halftime of their encounter on Saturday at Al Jazira Club Hall in Abu Dhabi.
With this victory, Sharjah will face Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the championship final, which is sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah. The final will be held on May 27th at the Zayed Complex in the Emirate of Fujairah.
The Sharjah handball team is the only team in history to win 40 titles, and they've held the President's Cup for the past four years in a row. They have won nine major championships, which is the most of any team in history.
They have won eight of nine championships in Sharjah handball over many age divisions.
