Sharjah 24: Sharjah decided to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Football Cup, despite losing to Bani Yas, in the second leg of the first round, to benefit from winning the first leg, as Al-Wehda qualified at the expense of Ittihad Kalba, and Al-Dhafra at the expense of Ajman.
Sharjah completed the quarter-finals contract for the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Football Cup, by qualifying at the expense of its rival Bani Yas, despite losing 2-3 in the first-round second leg match, which brought the two teams together, today, Saturday, at Sharjah Stadium, taking advantage of winning the first-leg match 3-0, for the king to set a date with his rival Khorfakkan, who qualified in turn at the expense of Al Wasl.
Brazilian Rafael Elias, Bani Yas striker, opened the scoring in the 30th minute, and Makit Diop, Sharjah striker, equalised for his team in the 40th minute, and Rafael Elias returned to give his team the lead with the second goal before the end of the first half in the 42nd minute, before the player himself returned to add his third goal and celebrate the hat-trick in the 52nd minute.
Al-Wehda also qualified for the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, after defeating Ittihad Kalba 5-1 during the second leg of the first round, and winning the first-leg match of the same round with a score of 2-1.
Al Dhafra also qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Ajman 2-0 in the second leg, despite losing the first leg 1-3, to benefit from the goal he scored outside his stadium.
