Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), inaugurated the activities of the second Media Student Day, organised by the College of Communication within the framework of its work to highlight graduation projects, field training programmes, and training workshops for students.
The event, which witnessed the presence of top officials from various departments and institutions, highlighted the efforts of students of the College of Communication, whether in graduation projects or during field training in media institutions.
Dr. Hisham Abbas, Dean of the College of Communication, emphasised that the Media Student Day is organised for the second year in a row, to demonstrate the contributions of college students and what advanced academic programmes offer, and to benefit from the college’s studios and laboratories, to produce media work that reflect the outcome of a continuous journey of training, education, and partnerships with institutions.
In his speech, Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), stated what the celebration of Media Student Day translates the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Then, His Excellency Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, accompanied by Dr. Hisham Abbas, honoured the university's partners from the media institutions, and the owners of distinguished media projects among the students.
