Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Jamal Salim Al Turaifi, President of Al Qasimia University (AQU), inaugurated the seventh annual art exhibition of AQU, with the participation of more than 100 artworks of students' creations from various Emirati universities, in the fields of painting, photography and Arabic calligraphy.
The inauguration was attended by Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), Vice-Chancellors of AQU, a number of ambassadors and consuls accredited to the country, deans of faculties, members of the academic and administrative staff, and students.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Al Turaifi and a number of ambassadors and consuls accredited to the country were briefed on the galleries of the exhibition, and the distinguished creative works it contains that reflect the spirit of authenticity and modernity among Emirati university students, and their ability to employ various elements of fine art in creative experiences that reflect the cultural diversity of the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency accompanied by Dr. Awad Al Khalaf honoured the winning students at the level of national universities in the Al Qasimia University Fine Arts Competition by awarding them certificates of appreciation and memorial shields in appreciation of their efforts, in addition to honouring the members of the jury and the participating universities.
