Sharjah 24: The 14th edition of the Social Service Conference kicked off Wednesday under the slogan "Innovation in Social Work", organised by the Sharjah Social Services Department.
Al Ali confirmed that the conference aims to instill a culture of innovation and transform services into innovative ones in the field of social work, and exchange visions and experiences between institutions working in this field.
She added to “Sharjah 24”, that several institutions working in the social field participated in the conference, which included 6 workshops on the first day and 6 workshops on the second day all of which had been addressed by experts and academics specialised in social innovation.
Concerning the choice of the slogan “Innovation in Social Work" for the 14th edition, Al Ali indicated that it was because innovation has become a key element in the services provided to groups of society, be they the elderly, children, prisoners, people with special needs and mental patients, as services for them are provided in an innovative manner that facilitates their access to these services.
