Sharjah24: The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah recently held a coordination meeting led by its head, His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yarouf Al-Sabousi, aiming to discuss the Department's preparations for the last ten days of Ramadan.
Specifically, they focused on the readiness of the mosques, particularly the main mosque in the emirate, which sees a significant number of worshipers.
The Department aims to create a spiritual atmosphere and provide all necessary means of comfort and tranquility for the worshipers during these blessed last days of Ramadan, especially on the 27th night.
The Department's maintenance teams are currently conducting field visits to mosques, with a special focus on those that attract a large number of worshipers, such as the Sharjah Mosque, Sheikh Saud Mosque, Noor Mosque, King Faisal Mosque, and others in the emirate. The teams have already started planning and carpeting the outdoor areas, as well as increasing the capacity of the women's prayer halls using tents.
Furthermore, the Department praised the collaborative efforts of government departments and voluntary institutions. These groups, alongside the department's teams, are responsible for organising the entry and exit of worshipers from mosques, regulating their lines in the crowded outdoor areas, and distributing cold water to ensure comfort and peaceful time for all worshipers.
