Sharjah24: Khaled Al Shehhi, Director of the branch of Khorfakkan of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, confirmed that the Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD) are a global cultural event that highlights the popular heritage of the various cities and regions of Sharjah over the past 20 years.
The Sharjah Institute for Heritage continues the activities of the 20th edition of the Sharjah Heritage Days in Khorfakkan under the slogan "Heritage and Creativity", witnessing great participation of government departments and agencies, and private sector institutions. In tribute to the rich history of the UAE, Sharjah Heritage Days features cultural activities, talks and performances that shed light on the traditions of UAE culture
He stated that the program Sharjah Heritage Days is full of many performances and events that will continue until March 12.
In his statements to “Sharjah 24”, he added that a large number of departments participate in the event, being one of the major forums and global heritage and cultural event that extends for 20 years. He has further lauded the great support of the wise leadership. Al Shehhi underscored SHD's keenness to provide all means of support to ensure the success of events, stressing that the event plays a prominent role in enhancing tourism revenues in various cities and regions of Sharjah.
The historical village in Khorfakkan is full of many heritage facilities, including private museums. The cultural event also includes many diverse performances, including theater activities, workshops and competitions, institutional pavilions, productive families, and performances by folk arts groups.
