Sharjah 24: A group of children in traditional Emirati costume flocked into the spaces of Sharjah Heritage Days as they celebrated Haq Al-Laila.
Sharjah Heritage Days enjoyed the biggest share of celebration and joy when a group of children descended on the grounds of the event carrying colourful woven bags to celebrate Haq Al Laila.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD) said: "The revival of this religious event among children is part of the revival of an authentic and beautiful local heritage that families have traditionally celebrated. This occasion also constitutes an opportunity for communication, rapprochement, and visitation between family and relatives, strengthening the fabric of society and developing children's values such as caring for kinship ties, respect, and taking pride in national identity.
The event witnessed a remarkable turnout where visitors were welcomed, and customary gifts were exchanged with the children.
