Sharjah 24: The Wasit Suburb Council of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department, during its periodic meeting chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, and in the presence of the members, discussed the plan of events to be held during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The council set a date to organise the "Yalstna" initiative, which aims to meet with the residents of the suburb, and give them the opportunity to discuss issues that touch the needs of the residents of the Wasit Suburb, in addition to reviewing ideas and initiatives that will be organised throughout the year.

The council also reviewed the plan for field visits and communication with government and private entities and institutions to coordinate with them in a way that serves the people and contributes to reaching effective solutions to the proposals and observations received. In addition to strengthening their community role by organising joint activities that achieve the desired goals and objectives.

The council approved the formation of permanent committees, which are the Coordination and Follow-up Committee, concerned with monitoring and following up on the needs of the people. The Social and Cultural Committee to provide initiatives to invest the energies and skills of the suburb’s individuals in a way that contributes to serving their community and spreading social and cultural awareness, along with organising courses and lectures. In addition, the Services and Marketing Committee is responsible for organising sports and entertainment activities and celebrations of national occasions.

His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Wasit Suburb Council, called on community members to interact with the "Yalstna" initiative by participating in presenting proposals and observations that would improve the quality of life in the suburb.
