The International Festival, held under the authority of the Sharjah Sports Council and in collaboration with the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, is the first festival of its kind recognised by the ECAHO organisation to be held in a covered arena.
The number of horses reached 288 with the involvement of nine countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Brazil, and Jordan.
