The Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, Dr. Mohammed Safi Al Mostaghanemi, received them.
Al Mostaghanemi gave a detailed explanation of the historical dictionary of the Arabic language and the great efforts made by the Arab linguistic academies in completing the historical dictionary, noting Sharjah's pioneering role in serving the Arabic language.
During the visit, a specialised training course was held by Eng. Basil Hayek, the technical engineer of the Historical Lexicon Project, during which he introduced the research platform for the historical dictionary of the Arabic language, demonstrated his research skills and how to benefit from it in their research papers and academic theses.
The delegation also viewed a printed copy of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language in its thirty-six (36) parts, and listened to a detailed explanation of the scientific method used in producing the dictionary.
The delegation expressed their great admiration for the tremendous scientific efforts presented by the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah and its valuable scientific outputs.
At the end of the visit, the Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, Dr. Al Mostaghanemi, handed the delegation of Al Wasl University a commemorative shield and several scientific publications of the Academy.
