Sharjah 24: The Breastfeeding Friends, affiliated to the Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, organised an annual brainstorming session, with the aim of developing work mechanisms within the operational plan for the year 2023.
This came in the presence of Her Excellency Eng. Khawla Abdulaziz Al Noman, Head of the Breastfeeding Friends, and Her Excellency Iman Rashid, Director of the Health Promotion Department, members of the Board of Directors, and a number of female employees and volunteers.
For her part, Engineer Khawla Al Noman welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of this session, which contributes to shaping the future, exchanging creative ideas in developing educational and awareness activities and programmes.
In addition to offering more activities that would enhance the inculcation and dissemination of health concepts in society, and raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding.
She indicated that the organisation of the brainstorming session comes within the framework of the wise directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, to intensify efforts to raise awareness of breastfeeding among mothers and to provide them with all forms of support.
The session comes out of the keenness to create an environment that stimulates creativity among the members and the volunteers, and to involve them in developing work mechanisms, by exchanging ideas that contribute to introducing innovative activities and programmes that enhance efforts to establish a culture of breastfeeding in society and improve the physical and psychological health of mothers and children.
The session discussed the most prominent proposals presented by the members and volunteers in the past year, in addition to discussing new proposals and ideas for the current year to achieve more successes.
The session concluded with a competition to create an atmosphere of fun and entertainment, and the winners were honoured and group photos were taken.
