Sharjah 24: During its visit to the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, the Education, Culture, Media and Youth Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), was briefed on the efforts and roles of the institute in organising various events, especially Sharjah Heritage Days, in addition to the institute's roles in offering educational programmes.
The visit comes within the framework of the SCC's readiness to discuss the policy of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage during its upcoming session next Thursday.
The goals of the Sharjah Heritage Institute were reviewed, and its aim to consolidate the link between national identity and local heritage.
The partnership relations between the institute and the entities operating in the country, as well as the international entities were reviewed, in a way that supports and activates ties and the exchange of experiences and heritage information with specialised institutions locally and internationally.
