Sharjah24: On January 27, 2023, the eighth edition Tour of Sharjah will kick off, with 156 cyclists representing 26 teams from 19 countries, and they will compete for a distance of approximately 440 km divided into 5 stages, the last of which will be on Tuesday 31, with the coronation of the champion.
The ceremony is attended by a large number of officials of the sport in the country along with the UAE Cycling Federation, sponsers, and others.

The programme for the first day begins at 9:30 am with a local race on the sidelines of the tour for the youth category under 23 years old following another local race for the disabled starts at 10:15 am. The champions of each race will be crowned immediately after its completion.

The first stage of the tour starts at 2:00 pm, in front of the Sharjah Islamic Bank, and its distance is 8.9 km, and ends where it started at the Bank. The winner of the phase will be crowned at 4 pm.

The second stage will be on Saturday, January 28 at 11:00 am, for a distance of 130.7 km. It starts in front of the Sharjah Academy of Astronomy, Space sciences & Technology, and ends at Mysk Al Badayer Retreat.

The third stage starts on Sunday, January 29, at 11:00 am for a distance of 117.8 km. It begins from Flag Island in Dibba Al Hisn and ends at the Wadi Al Hilo Ladies Club.

The fourth stage will start on Monday, January 30 at 10:00 am, for a distance of 110.2 km, in front of Kalba’s waterfront, and will end at the tow break in Khorfakkan.

The final stage will start on Tuesday, January 31 at 9:00 am, for a distance of 72.3 km. It begins at Sharjah Safari and ends at Al Noor Mosque on  Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah.
