Sharjah 24: Officials and participating government agencies, as well as festivalgoers from all across the Emirate of Sharjah and other emirates in the country, were highly complementary of this year's Al Batayeh Folk Festival 5, which is part of the Sharjah Shopping Promotions organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the economic partner of the festival.
A wide variety of cultural, educational, social, and economic events were showcased at this year's edition of the festival, all of which helped boost the earnings of hardworking families and elevate traditional Emirati handicrafts in order to protect and continue to promote this important aspect of the country's culture.
Cultural events, such as the "We All Read" campaign, will be held at the festival over the next few days thanks to a collaboration between Al Qasimi Publications, the University of Sharjah, and the Sharjah Education Council. Other events, including competitions for young poets, painters, and photographers, will be held thanks to Sharjah Media City Shams.
