Sharjah 24: President of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre, Dr. Jamal Yaqout, spoke about the importance of government and official support for the theatre, specifically mentioning the great support provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for Arab theatre.
According to remarks Yaqout made to "Sharjah 24," the Arab Theatre Festival, now in its thirteenth year, gathers over 500 Arab artists and playwrights.
He emphasised that this avalanche of theatrical activities promotes the sharing of information and helps advance the art of theatre throughout the Arab world.
