80 students participated in the initiatives with 40 projects, 20 for each of its two phases, from 21st to 30th December.
The inauguration was attended by Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department; Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council; Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of the “Ruwad”, as well as several entrepreneurs and media professionals.
Al Suwaidi, stated that the "Business Stars" initiative witnessed tangible success over its previous editions and presented various projects for students from different educational levels. He is eager for the series of successes to continue and achieve more in the 8th edition, which will contribute to developing qualified young national cadres with the necessary skills to establish innovative commercial businesses capable of competing in the markets.
Hamad Al Mahmoud explained that the "Business Stars" initiative aims to enrich the experience of the participating students and provide an integrated environment that reflects the reality of the business world, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills to establish and manage businesses and ensure their success and prosperity.
Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, stated that training and preparing students to engage in business practice is one of the main goals of the Sharjah Education Council. The Council is keen to cooperate with its partners from relevant government agencies as well as private entities to empower students and provide them with the necessary skills to plan for their future.
