Sharjah24: His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad) announced the launch of the activities of the 8th edition of the "Business Stars" initiative, which aims to promote the culture of entrepreneurship among the emerging generations and motivate them.
Commenting on this, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Ruwad has highlighted the importance of this initiative in encouraging Emirati students, in entrepreneurship and motivating them to take their first steps in the world of business that is full of opportunities and promises. The 8th edition of "Business Stars" initiative will start during the period from 21 - 30 December 2022, in Kshisha Park, in Al Rahmaniyah suburb, Sharjah, and it aims to attract male and female students from age groups ranging from 9 to 20 years.
Al Mahmoud explained, in exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", that the initiative is organised to be delivered in two phases, with the participation of 80 male and female students from the primary, middle, secondary and university levels, and includes 40 projects in each stage with various activities, as the 1st stage, which started Wednesday, was devoted to the participation of primary and middle school students, whilst the second stage, which began next Monday, is for university students in the country.
The Director of Ruwad stressed the Foundation's keenness to strengthen its efforts in preparing and motivating the young generation of entrepreneurs, developing their entrepreneurial behaviour, and spreading the culture of innovation among them. He has further praised the role of " Ruwad " partners in these initiatives, and the quality of training programs and workshops, as well as the number of the audience.
Ruwad is organising the initiative in partnership with the Sharjah Education Council (SEC), aiming to develop entrepreneurial thought among emerging generations and encourage students of different educational stages to experience self-employment and empower them to take over responsibility for managing a small project, under the supervision and follow-up of consultants and experts specialised in this field.
