Al Thiqah Club, Palestinian delegation strengthen cooperation

Sharjah 24: Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped in Sharjah received a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development to discuss strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two sides, exchanging experiences and bettering relations to exchange information and experience.
The Palestinian delegation, which included Bassam Saad Sail, Advisor to the Minister of Social Development for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities and Arafat Abu Ras, Director of Public Relations at the ministry; was welcomed by Kaltham Obaid, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, and other members of the board of directors of the club.

The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, presented an overview of the club’s history and achievements in the field of sports for the disabled, as it is one of the finest and best clubs for the disabled in the Middle East thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who ordered the establishment of the club as part of his gifts and unlimited support for all his children with disabilities and the generous care provided by His Highness to achieve the aspirations of the club's board of directors.

For his part, Bassam Saad Sail, Advisor to the Minister of Social Development for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, appreciated the efforts made by the UAE in general and t Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped in particular by harnessing the energies and capabilities to serve people with disabilities, and launching many initiatives and various services, which contributed to making the UAE occupy a distinguished position in this area, pointing out that the coming period will witness more cooperation to benefit from the UAE experience in caring for people with disabilities in various fields.
