Sharjah24: In conjunction with the celebrations of the 51st UAE National Day, Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club organised the 51st National Day Marathon, which comes within the framework of its endeavor to encourage positive sporting attitude among community’s members, witnessing remarkable community participation during the atmosphere of national joy.

The marathon was held with remarkable community participation, with several participants gathering in front of the Sharjah Safari, launching towards the University of Sharjah, Al Dhaid branch, with the participation of three categories, adults, youth and children.

Winners of different categories were honoured. Also, 8 participants from each category were honoured to encourage them to practice sports.

In conclusion, His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, honoured the marathon winners, accompanied by His Excellency Matar Bin Howiden, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club.

His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howiden confirmed that this marathon is organised annually by Al Dhaid Club in celebration of this precious occasion, which coincides with the country's celebrations of the National Day, in which members of society gather and practice sports, amidst this national festive atmosphere.
