Sharjah 24: Speaking on the occasion of the UAE's National Day, the Chairperson of the Sharjah Business Women Council, Sheikha Hind Al Qasimi, said: "On the National Day of the United Arab Emirates, we celebrate our national development progress and the qualitative achievements that have been made under the auspices of our wise leadership and the creativity of our society, its men and women."
She went on to say, "The Sharjah Business Women Council is proud of its role in the country's national development process, which represents empowering women to contribute to economic progress and social stability."
Sheikha Hind Al Qasimi continued, "Under the directives and patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Chairperson of the NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, the Sharjah Business Women Council works according to an integrated approach to achieve the comprehensive inclusion of women in the business community and support them to achieve leadership by providing the necessary advice to develop their skills and abilities."
The council's efforts over the years have resulted in the creation of a solid network of businesswomen who have found success in a variety of industries and who have helped to create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere for other women who want to start their own companies.
Sheikha Hind Al Qasimi commented on this year's UAE National Day theme, "The Spirit of the Union," saying, "The spirit of the union is the spirit and morale of its men and women that we must fight to keep high and innovative. Our goal is to develop and consecrate in all facets of Emirati society the spirit of collaborative communal achievement, regeneration, innovation, and high ideals.
