Sharjah 24: Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC), affirmed that dedicating 8 March of each year as International Women's Day represents an appreciation of women's role and achievements at the global level.
She noted that the celebration of this occasion is an opportunity to emphasise the great status that women have achieved in our current era in various fields.
She added that the SBWC focus on providing the necessary environment to advance the projects of businesswomen, and work to expand them by providing mechanisms for communication with various regional and global markets, thus enhancing their chances of success.
She maintained that such efforts also include launching initiatives that contribute to the development of professional skills of female entrepreneurs, with the aim of enabling them to turn their ideas into projects.
