The event took place at the picturesque Kalba Waterfront, drawing about 600 participants of all ages and nationalities, both male and female. Dr. Yasser Al Dokhi, the Director of Sports and Community Events at the Sharjah Sports Council, emphasised that the marathon included races of various distances: 2.5 km, 5 km, 7 km, 10 km, and 21 km.
Strong participation was observed in the race, with individual competitors and team groups from across the Emirates taking part.
In an interview with "Sharjah24", Dr. Al Dokhi commended the varied participation and the remarkable enthusiasm displayed, which filled the event with a lively atmosphere that honours both sportsmanship and national pride.
The marathon concluded with the attendance of notable officials, such as Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, along with Rashid Al Kindi, Chairman of Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, and various other dignitaries.
