Following the rendition of the UAE National Anthem and recitation from the holy Quran, Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Academy, gave a speech in which he said: “The Police Academy celebrates today, in this joyful ceremony, the graduation of the fourth batch of graduate students in the master’s degree. This graduation is a harvest of the efforts of educational and administrative cadres, through which I was keen to nurture the minds of our students and provide them with various sciences and knowledge related to their specialisation and their future life.”
He added that the academy is constantly working on upgrading its educational curricula and courses, to keep pace with the wise leadership’s guidance, which the academy implemented as a method and work plan to build and prepare an advanced educational system to prepare generations capable of benefiting society and country, advancing the wheel of development, and actively and truly contributing to its scientific renaissance, and enhancing its security, stability and prosperity.”
Al Othmani pointed out that the academy has become a fertile educational environment, a fortress of knowledge, a home of security educational innovation, and a destination for researchers to complete their postgraduate studies in the specialisations of police management, criminal research, quality and excellence in security work.
The Director General of the Sharjah Police Academy concluded his speech by congratulating the graduates and recommending them to pursue their scientific career in the PhD and to ensure that the best security services are provided with sincerity, quality and distinction.
After that, a short documentary was shown about the master's programme and its development in terms of increasing specialisations and number of graduates, and accrediting various programmes.
Mona Ali Al Hammadi, gave a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates, in which she expressed their great happiness in graduating after a long and busy journey in learning and acquiring science and knowledge from a leading academic institution that provided them with science and legal and police knowledge.
She expressed her own and her fellow graduates sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the patron of the march of science, scholars, civilisation and building, for his support to the academy and the provision of scholarships. She also thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and the academic and administrative staff.
Then, the Crown Prince of Sharjah handed over the certificates to the graduates, congratulating them on the achievement and wishing them success in their future endeavours.
Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi also honoured a number of members of the teaching staff in appreciation of their dedication to work and their valuable contributions in preparing and qualifying these successive generations of graduates, evaluating their positive influence and the outcomes of the educational process.
The Sharjah Crown Prince received a painting that was presented to him as a souvenir from the Academy board, expressing the Academy's appreciation and thanks to Sheikh Sultan for the generous support and sponsorship of the graduation ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the academy’s board of directors posed for photos with the graduates and members of the academy's board.
Attending the graduation ceremony along with the Sharjah Crown Prince were Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office; Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and Deputy Chairman of the Academy board of directors; Dr. Mansour bin Nassar, Head of the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah; Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Abdullah Khalifa Al Sabousi, Head of the Islamic Affairs Department; the members of the academy’s board of directors; several heads and directors of government departments and institutions, and parents of graduates.
