Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah Chairman of the Council of the Police Sciences Academy , chaired, on Monday, the meeting of the Council, at the headquarters of the Academy in the University City in Sharjah.
Sharjah crown prince opened the meeting by welcoming the council members and praising their ongoing efforts in improving the Academy's educational and training programmes, the Academy's accomplishments over the previous years, and the Academy's position as one of the most significant institutions of police and security education at the local and international levels, as well as the achievement of the Academy's vision and mission in qualifying high-level outputs of training and education.
Sharjah crown prince gave the order to review the Academy's educational and training programmes by improving on the techniques already in use, utilizing metavirs, virtual and augmented reality technologies, and developing new cybersecurity specialties and future foresight courses.

During the meeting, a number of topics on the council's agenda were discussed in order to take appropriate decisions and measures in this regard. The council approved the date of the graduation ceremony for graduate students (Masters) this November.
The meeting dealt with the Academy’s accreditation by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, as a center for holding the Emirates Standard Test (EMSAT), for the Academy’s undergraduate and graduate students, and twelfth grade students, as these tests are scheduled to be held periodically after registration on the Ministry’s website. 

The council also adopted the modern shooting jacket, which adopts advanced techniques in practical training for officer students and employees of Sharjah Police.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the chairman of the Academy Council, accompanied by the members of the Council, inspected the (EMSAT) examination rooms in the Education and Graduate Studies building to get acquainted closely with the components of the halls and laboratories and the appropriate modern equipment they contain.

The meeting was attended by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and Vice Chairman of the Council, Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Salem Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Sultan Ali bin Butti Al Muhairi, Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Academy, and Lt. Col. Mohammed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Rapporteur of the Council.
