Sharjah24 - WAM: The Muslim Council of Elders is displaying an extensive collection of publications focused on correcting misconceptions, countering hate speech and discrimination and spreading the values of tolerance, peace and coexistence. at Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), being organised by Sharjah Book Authority from 2 to 13 November 2022.
The Council’s stand at the Sharjah International Book Fair is set to feature a number of prominent books, among those is 'Love in the Holy Quran' by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed Al Hashemi, member of the Muslim Council of Elders, as well as ‘The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path’ by the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohamed Abdelsalam and ‘Islam, the West and Tolerance: Conceiving Coexistence’ by Dr. Aaron Tyler.

Likewise, the Council is set to exhibit 10 books by its Chairman His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. These include ‘Al Qawl Al Tayeb’ and ‘Elements of Islam’ as well as ‘Heritage and Renewal’.

The Council is also set to host a seminar at its stand on 7th of November by the Secretary-General of the Council, Mohamed Abdelsalam, and Nobel Laureate Wided Bouchamaoui. The seminar will discuss the role of civil and religious organizations in empowering women and spreading tolerance and human fraternity.

The Council is also participating in the upcoming ‘Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence’ in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The forum is set to be held in partnership between the Muslim Council of Elders, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence.
