Sharjah24: Markus Dohle, CEO of Penguin Random House, stressed that the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) , has become an international centre of books and publishing and a hub for professionals from all over the world engaged in retail publishing.
Markus Dohle affirmed the need to promote the growth of books in the region along with reading, as they have profound impact on society.
The CEO of Penguin Random House expressed his happiness in participating in this international event being held in this region and in acquainting with the region’s culture and history.
Markus Dohle also revealed that he attended this international event to accomplish three things: Firstly, is to learn the publishing industry and how to become local player. Secondly, is to build relationships with many people in the region and deepen other relationships that already exist , thirdly, is to expand the scope of business in the field of distributing English-language books in the region. He also confirmed his ambition to play an important cultural role in the region and to transfer its impact to all over the world.
