Sharjah 24: The Section of Sports and Social Activities at the Media and Public Relations Department of Sharjah Police (SP), in cooperation with the Friends of Cancer Patients, organised a health awareness initiative titled “Pink October.. Awareness Month.”
The event was held in the Future Hall at the SP’s headquarters, coinciding with the International Month for Breast Cancer Awareness.
This comes with the aim of raising health awareness among SP’s females, about the importance of early detection of this disease, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent it.
The awareness initiative witnessed a wide attendance of SP’s female members from various departments.
It included a number of events, such as an awareness lecture titled "The Importance of Early Detection", which dealt with symptoms and causes of cancer, and an explanation of ways to prevent it.
